City Commission/Municipal Authority Meeting

Monday, November 2, 2026 · 5:30 PM – 12:59 AM

Meeting Agenda Short and sweet this time. It's a quick Municipal Authority meeting on Monday, November 2 at 5:30 PM in the Commission Chamber, with just a couple of items worth knowing about. Shout-out for a local worker: Austin Seratte will get a Certificate of Completion for finishing his apprenticeship. It's a nice moment recognizing someone who's leveled up in their trade with the city's utility team at Collinsville Energy. GIS mapping update: True North, the company working on the city's GIS (digital mapping) project, will give a progress report. Trustees may also talk about adding more work to the project down the road. Better digital maps of utility lines and infrastructure can help crews find and fix problems faster. If they expand the scope, that likely means more spending, so it's worth keeping an eye on. The usual housekeeping items round things out. Overall, it's a light agenda, but the GIS discussion could lead to future decisions about expanding the project. --- Collinsville City Commission Regular Meeting Short agenda this time, but there are a few items worth knowing about: Depot Park is moving forward. The Commission is voting on whether to put out a request for bids on site and civil construction work for the new Depot Park. If approved, contractors can start bidding, which is a real step toward getting the park built. The city may grow by one lot. An ordinance would annex a property about a mile southeast of East 186th Street North and Highway 75 into city limits. A business sign appeal. A business at 1007 W. Main Street was denied a sign and is appealing. The Commission will decide whether to uphold the denial or let the sign move ahead. Plus the usual housekeeping items. The meeting is Monday, November 2 at 5:30 PM in the Commission Chamber at 106 N. 12th Street. cityofcollinsville.com/calendar.aspx?EID=1632
